Hector Esrawe

This central figure of the Mexican scene was originally an industrial designer. His taste for novelty then led him to architecture, passing through the decorative arts. Esrawe creates irresistible hotels, restaurants and designer pieces. In 2019, he founded the Masa gallery
with designers Age Salajoe and Brian Thoreen. Long before the health crisis, which forced the art world to introspect, Masa wanted to break away from the traditional "white cube" model. The trio reinvents the concept of gallery through a strong digital presence and traveling exhibitions in extraordinary places. Masa explores the boundaries between art and design and offers the opportunity for many international talents to explore new creative horizons. All-terrain artistic director, Esrawe takes us on sensory escapades.
He composes fragrances for the Xinú brand and creates a reusable bottle, inspired by the sculptural language of Brancusi, receptacle for the scents of the local botanical gardens. This multiple creator is also endowed with an ecological conscience and launched the Casa del Agua mineral water brand, created from recovered rainwater, bottled - without plastic of course - and sold locally for a carbon footprint. neutral
